TDS stands for tax deducted at source. The Income Tax Act requires individuals to pay taxes when making payments. The tax is, therefore, deducted at the source at prescribed rates.

It means that rather than having a tax levied on your income taken out at a later date, the government prefers to do so beforehand, right at the source. TDS is deducted by an authorized deductor and deposited with the IT department thereafter.

The rate of TDS deduction on salary varies between 10% and 30% according to the tax slab in which the income of a person falls.

Work-life balance refers to a standard of living wherein a working individual is capable of balancing his or her personal and professional life. If an individual is not compromising with any one of them, such a state is said to have a work-life balance.

Mostly, working professionals are unable to manage their work life, and because of that, their personal life suffers. Prioritizing and structuring, taking short breaks, using technology to fasten up the process, etc., can be smart ways to achieve a perfect work-life balance.
